Greg and Kim met in September 2005 while working for the Department of Defense (DoD). Their initial connection was forged through a shared enthusiasm for technology, which often sparked engaging discussions filled with passion and insight. While their fiery personalities occasionally led to moments of tension, they consistently found common ground for the betterment of their team and friendship.

As they continued collaborating, their conversations expanded beyond work, revealing a mutual passion for family and travel. Discovering this about each other allowed them to build a stronger working relationship and friendship.

After several years of working together, Kim accepted a job offer with another DoD agency closer to her home. Greg feared he would never see Kim again. Ten years later, he reached out to her via instant messaging. It took weeks for Kim to see the message and respond. Greg then asked Kim out for dinner, and from that point on, they rekindled their friendship and eventually became a couple.

On June 15, 2024 (Father's Day Weekend), Greg proposed to Kim at the Karaoke Bar in Safety Harbor, Tampa, Florida. He surprised her by singing "One in a Million You" by Larry Graham during Karaoke. As he sang, he poured his emotions into the performance, and right in the middle of the song, he dropped to one knee and proposed to her. Kim was shocked, and the crowd went wild, waiting for her response. Of course, Kim said, “Yes.” Their journey continues with getting married on March 15, 2025.
